Here is a tutorial on how to make the text style I made in my Pwnage topic. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The first thing you are going to do is in photoshop click file >> new. Then place in the width and the height of the object you want.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
* I used 15465x4689 (which is HUGE), you can but it is not required.

Next you're going to select the text tool, choose a light color of your liking and type your text. Move the text roughly to the center and scale it by holding down CTRL and moving the bottom left corner.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Once it's scaled to your choosing, click the check mark on the top mid right.

We are now going to make the effect of the text within that text turned on an angle. So the first step to doing that is clicking on the text layer once and then using the key stroke CTRL + J.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Now that we have your text layer duplicated, making sure the duplicated layer is selected use the key stroke CTRL + T and move your mouse outside of the selection rectangle and you will get the icon to rotate the text. Rotate it and move it to the front of the first layers text and down. Make sure it is covering up as much as possible of the first part but don't stress trying to make it perfect as we will repeat this step a few more times.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Still working on the duplicated layer click on the text tool and select all of the duplicated layers text. Change this layers text to white.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Now we are going to duplicate the second layer using the key stroke CTRL + J and then move the new layer next to the second layer.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Repeat this step as many times as needed to cover up the text.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Once your text is covered up you are going to click on the bottom of the white text layer, hold shift, and click on the top white text layer. Once you have all of the white text layers use the key stroke CTRL + E. This will rasterize the layer and combine all of them.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Time to delete the white text that we can not see, but will be visible if a background is added and when we add effects later on. Click on the first text layer, hold down CTRL and click on the thumbnail of the layer. The text will now be selected. Now use SHIFT + CTRL + I. This will invert the selected text. Click on the white text layer and press delete. The "invisible" white text will be gone now.

* If your text is still selected press CTRL + D. If it is not, ignore this.

Lower the opacity/transparency of the white text layer to about 60 or whatever looks good to you.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Click on the white text layer, hold down CTRL, and click on the main text layer. Use the key stroke CTRL + E like we did last time to rasterize the main text layer and combine the two.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

More effects are going to be added to the text now that they are combined as one. Right click the text layer and click blending options. Click on bevel and emboss. Change the size to about 40 and the soften to about 6. Change the shadow mode color to a dark shade of your main color. Now click on drop shadow. Increase the size to about 60, distance and spread at 0, double click on the black image swap and make it a very dark shade of your main color.

OPTIONAL:
Click on stroke, which will outline the text, change the fill type to gradient. Double click the gradient and we are going to change the two colors that will be in the gradient. You will see a bar with a black/white gradient preselected. Double click on the bottom left hand arrow of the gradient bar and select a dark shade of your color, do the same for the right side but a different tone of your dark main color. Press ok for the gradient editor.

Press ok.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Go to your text layer, click on it, use the key stroke CTRL + J. Now click on the duplicated layer, right click it, and click clear layer style.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

This will be our reflected layer. Making sure it is selected press CTRL + T. Right click inside the box (lol) and click flip vertical. Move the text about midway down from the main text. Hit enter.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Take the rectangular selection tool, change the feather to about 50 (on the top left) and select the bottom half of the reflected text layer then press delete. If you have to reposition the reflected text, do so now. If you wish to make the reflected text fade in a tit more, take the brush tool, right click, scale the size up, make sure your color is on white, and brush away some of the reflected text. Take the top layer (the reflected text) and drag it below the main text. You're done now, just add any other effects you want!
