So I have $400 dollars at my disposal. I'm gonna get either a 500gb desktop, or a 250gb laptop (both high performance). Which should I get? It's Windows 7 also.

I would get a desktop, the reason behind that is if you game I think it is very uncomfortable gaming on a laptop.

I game on a laptop, on my bed. I'm quite comfortable.
Anyway $400 isn't going to get you a good laptop. I'd try and save more for a desktop.

Laptops are better for travel, personal use and stuff, desktops are more for At-Home based things.. so i dont know, its really up to you..
